Brother Cadfael English rose (before)

My early walks through the garden with the camera make possible that after weeks of continuous changes I can remember how certain spot looked like in the past.

I found today a couple of photos which make me wonder again about how a rose can change from one day to another. Because this photo is a close up it is difficult to imagine how cute and small was this rose when the picture was taken - may be the bud behind can help. The point is that even if the flower is open still there are surprises to come because in the next walk it doesn't look the same at all.

Here it is. Brother Cadfael rose (David Austin) a day after opening.

I leave the after photo for the next post.
